Breaking the Da Vinci Code - Not the Da Vinci Code
May 14th 2009 17:57
Work is done. I grab my flops and head to the mailbox for the movies that await me. After pouring Grapefruit and Vodka over ice into a plastic clear tinted green cup I sit down to enjoy a new movie.
I should have done more research. I was not so interested in a fictional move, so I of course passed over The Da Vinci Code film by Columbia Pictures (2006). I was looking for a documentary type viewing. Something that would give me an idea of what the book was all about in about 120 minutes.
Ah, I find Breaking the Da Vinci Code, a documentary that is said to dissect Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code to uncover fact from fiction. Perfect.
The movie lacked content big time. Not Fact, but, I think a total of three images, two fake reenactments, and 4 chairs where used in the making of 120 minutes of pure get to the point awfulness.
So much to my chagrin, the excitement of watching a movie turned into, crap I got the wrong one. Well, there is no documentary I have seen yet to satisfy what I was looking for so I guess I'll have to read the book.
I got such a bad taste through from all the disproof of Dan Brown. Not sure he has a point anyway. Although, you gotta admit that the painting of the last supper really does look like Mary is at the table.
Why is everything so secret in Religion anyway? The bible is full of secrets you have to uncover. No wonder Danny Boy was looking to solve a mystery

so what are you doing with Tracey's blog?
And how come her banner has been changed?
Frankly, you would be better off getting another site that was not so popular and written by someone who had so many pals on the site.
No offence meant towards you, as you were offered it by Orble obviously, just letting you know a number of people are only just realising what has happened and are very upset about the way it was handled.

I have no control over what happens. Orble made my login go to this blog. They have yet to contact me about how it will be changed. I'm sure it will all work out soon.
Trust me, I wouldn't want it to happen to me, thats why I have no problem with however they change it.
I just want to write, doesn't matter where.
I would like my own blog to, but not some one else's.

thought I should reply, no worries mate, just let Jon know, he should be in touch anyway. He has answered Tracy, seems the big Orble pooter flipped out and didn't warn Tracy she was about to be tossed off her site, plus, it is supposed to be after 60 days no postings and it was only ten for the poor lass.
So Jon is going to set things right again, which is great for Tracy, as she is a lovely person, you will see.
Anyhoo, you come across as a polite and forthright person, which is refreshing to see, and you will get lots of visits and comments, I am sure.
Keep plugging ahead, and maybe do an intro post ("Hello Orble", or whatever) so we can get to know you and we can then introduce ourselves too.
Orble can be quite chummy and friendly, it also has its fair share of flare ups, but, I'm sure you will develop pals here.
The golden rules I was given, when I first started; always reply to a comment, it is only polite to do so, and if you comment on other people's blogs, you will see many will pay your blog a visit in return.
It is useful to pal up with some of the top performers (regrettably I am not one of them!), as they will attract traffic to your blog as well. So ask to be a pal, it is on everyone's profile page, and try to make time to read what they are on about, and make a few comments each day, on various blogs.
All the best, and welcome to Orble.
cheers
