Maybe you have heard the expression bad associations spoil useful habits. If you want to believe that or not is up to you. But why is it that so oftne someone new to our life can influance us in major ways?
Foxfire presents a drifter of sorts, who enters the lives of four school girls and enables them to stand up against a sexually abusive teacher. Along the way the inhibitions increase. It gets to the point of kidnap, car hijack, threat of murder. You get the point.
You crazy kids
When these girls were given approval from one another they were quick to do things they wouldn't normally do. It was a, band together for our cause, sort of thing.
It is no doubt this is a very real situation. All it takes is the one with nothing to loose. Some one who is sick of caring about what others think.
In all I liked the movie. Lots of "girl power" for the strong willed females out there. Thats more of a joke then anything.
Drink of choice for this walk in the woods is, Highland Park from the bottle.
